Welcome to Bear Haus!

The Spa at Bear Haus!

It has been a busy, busy summer! 7 different groups of families have come to visit: McFarlands, Aspelunds, Lees, Fredericks, Sutters, Gilberg, and Elcans. I hope everyone had as much fun as we had.

As most have heard, there was a big fire that started by the Gondola at Heavenly Valley. The winds fortunately directed the fire Northeast and over the hill to Nevada. Bear Haus is on the opposite and south side of Heavenly Mountain so we were upwind. Scarier then that fire was that lightning struck at the top of High Meadows Road, but the great fire fighters put it out immediately.

Let's see what have we done this summer.

The super secret RLADM gang built the RLADM bridge enabling safe passage over Cold Creek to the meadows behind Bear Haus.

Swimming, rafting, and just hanging out at Pope Beach with the Aspelunds while a lightning and thunder storm rages over the big hotels/casinos.

Sunset at Timber Cove beach was a pretty awesome sight. I don't recall Triny getting her hair wet?

Ryan and Al played golf. Ok, nothing spectacular.

Rented a speed boat with the Elcans and took it to Emerald Bay. Be careful when you let a teenager drive, they get a little video game crazy.

The new photos have a slightly different style of navigation. The web designer is using a different program to generate the pages so there you have it.

P.S. RLADM stands for: Ryan, Lauren, Amy, Derek, and Morgan.
